Mongar Dzong

  • Built in the 1930s, Mongar dzong is one of the newest dzongs in the country. The dzong is built overlooking the town and is known for its impressive architecture, with a large central tower and surrounding walls. It is also an important center for religious and administrative activities in the region, with monks living and studying there. Visitors can tour the dzong and its various halls and courtyards, as well as enjoy the views of the surrounding hills and valleys.

Yagang Lhakhang

  • It is believed to have been built in the 16th century by a Tibetan lama and is known for its beautiful murals and carvings. The temple is located in a peaceful rural area and is surrounded by lush vegetation, providing a serene and calming atmosphere. Drametse Monastery

The monastery is also home to a large collection of religious artifacts, including ancient scriptures, statues, and thangkas (traditional Buddhist paintings).
